The picture joined “The 6th National New Year Picture Exhibition” which was organized by the Ministry
of Culture of the P.R. China, Chinese Artists Association and so on. Meanwhile, the picture has been
printed in the Exhibition Book.
Up to now, Xu Hui herself has being treasured up the Original Picture of Lotus & Kingfisher.
In the picture, a flying Kingfisher, a group of Lotus leaves and smiling Lotus, from Lotus’s bud and
florescence to the final fruitage, the each period can be seen the people’s stage. As to the Kingfisher,
it means blessedness in the occident and the Lotus means happy. Integrating the two things together, the
picture can be enough depicted an ideal blest garden.
