Xuhui won the Gold Medal of the Fifth International Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition in 1999. Jointly organized by Asia Pacific International Publishing Company, China International Publishing Group, World Artists Association of Canada and Oriental Sino-Foreign Calligraphy and Painting Research Academy, the exhibition was qualified for the national exhibition. The artworks were exhibited in Chinese Contemporary Art Museum in Beijing, the leaders of Ministry of Culture, Chinese Central Academy of Fine Arts, National Labor Union attended the exhibition’s inauguration, Zhao Tiexin, the Deputy Director of the Office of Ministry of Culture presided ribbon-cutting ceremony, and 16 media including Beijing Daily, Beijing Evening Newspaper, China Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper gave their reports. This Exhibition will be held in America, Canada and Thailand.

The Exhibition of Artworks was incorporated into the Anthology of the Fifth International Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition.
