In 1999, the Fifth Term Competition of Internal and External Chinese Calligraphy and Painting and Seal-cutting was jointly held by the Shanghai Returned Overseas Chinese Federation, the Shanghai People’s Association For Friendship With Foreign Countries, Shanghai Overseas Culture Exchanges Association, Shanghai Calligraphy and Painting Publisher and Shanghai Friendship Association of Culture Circles and received the supports from Shanghai Overseas Chinese Culture Exchanges Company, Japanese International Art Academy, Europe and China Culture and Arts Advance Association and so on. Xuhui’s artwork was gained a Silver Award in the Competition and compiled into the Selection of the Internal and External Chinese Calligraphy and Painting and Seal-cutting Artworks.

     Xuhui’s Artwork — “Lotus Pond’s Fragrance and Pleasure Picture” is printed on the colorful cover and on the page 22 of the book.
