Xuhui was appointed as a Researcher of the Chinese National Academy of Arts in 1999. Subordinates to the Ministry of Culture, P. R. China, the Chinese National Academy of Arts is the only state-level comprehensive art research institute as well as the national cultural and art research institute all over the country. Founded at the early stage of the P. R. China, the Chinese National Academy of Arts has a history of 54 years since Chairman Mao wrote an inscription and its title for it in 1951. So far, Chinese National Academy of Arts has become a well-known art center for research, education and international exchange, standing in the top class at home and abroad.
